Welcome to Dollard Water Polo
The Dollard Water Polo Club is one of the top water polo clubs
in Canada. In 2007-2008, over 130 athletes are participating
under the direction of 15 coaches, led by Head Coach Pat Oaten,
Coach of the Canadian Senior Women's National Team. Five of our
other coaches are also involved with national or provincial
teams.

News:
We are happy to announce that the Dollard Aquatic Center will
undergo renovations from September through to December 2010.
Should you have any questions concerning the renovation
process you can direct your questions to the Dollard Aquatic
Center at 514.684.0070.
We are looking forward to a new and improved facility!
Interim Practice times and Locations:
During the renovation period Dollard Water Polo Club will be
practicing at the following locations:
PDS:
2900 Lake Road, Pierrefonds, Quebec
PPO:
4545 Pierre de Coubertin Avenue, Montréal, Québec
CAMO:
1000 Émile-Journault Avenue, Montréal, Québec
A
temporary schedule for September to December 2010 can be found
on our calendar page.
We would ask that you kindly note that this schedule is a
preliminary schedule and is subject to change.
Transportation:
Group transportation and car pooling will be coordinated during
the temporary schedule (September to December 2010 at no
additional cost to our membership.
In order to attain this goal we will need the families to
participate in the car pooling program which is currently under
review. As soon as
the water time schedule is confirmed we will provide you with
the transportation schedule.
Should you wish to participate in the car pooling program

MINI'S A SEASON OF SUCCESS!
DDO Mini's had a very successful season. It began when the
Mini's placed 2nd overall in the Mtl. Metro.
They participated in the Jeux de Montreal, winning Silver!
Then it was on to Gatineau for a U12 Invitational where they
were "undefeated" and brought home Gold! This past weekend
the Mini's had the opportunity to finish their season off in
familiar waters at DDO as we hosted the Mtl. Metro U12 Finals.
The Mini's being cheered on by Justin's Girls, played hard and
won the Bronze! Congratulations to all our Mini's and
Coaches Meryl and Evan for their very successful season. A
big Thank You to all our parents and Justin Oliveira for all his
help!

May 30 - Senior Men win gold again at
Nationals!

DDO1 Boys take silver at 16U Nationals in
Regina May 24

with an honourable mention to Ryan Dumont for
being named Tournament MVP and a member of the all star team
On the weekend of May14-16 DDO hosted the
Quebec Bantam Provincials. Congratulations to the team from CAEM
for winning the gold medal. Our own DDO1 won the silver medal.
While DDO2 placed 7th and DDO3 came in 4th.
Our 18U Women capture the silver medal at the
Canadian Club Nationals May 9

A special congratulations to Amanda Amorosa and Sam Phillips for
being named to the 18U Women's All Star team
and to Matty Emory for also being named to the 18U Men's All
star team Bravo!
Both the DDO1
boys and the DDO girls won gold at the CAEM U14 AAA tournament April 25

April 16-18 was a very successful weekend for
our teams at the 16U Quebec Provincials. Both DDO1 boys and
girls teams brought home the gold medals. DDO2 girls won the
bronze medal and DDO2 boys placed fourth.

The 18U Quebec Provincials were held at
CAMO on the weekend of March 19-21. Our women captured gold and
the men won the silver.
That same weekend our Mini (12U) and Bantam
(14U) teams were competing in the Montreal Metro finals. The
Mini team won the silver medal - a first for our club. The
Bantam teams won gold, bronze and placed fourth. These will be
the kids to watch when we host Bantam Provincials May 14 -16.

2nd, 2010. Any and all athletes who
have not previously been selected as the
Amateur Athlete of the Week please
download the
Amateur Athlete of the Week Registration
Form (here) and send to
office@waterpolo.ca. An athlete will
be selected randomly each week, and all
profiles submitted to Water Polo Canada
will be held on file, therefore, only 1
entry per athlete is required. |
