About our Teams
Mini
The Mini program was
introduced to the club in the 2008-09 season. This is a co-ed
developmental program for players born in 1999 or later. While
games are played in the shallow end, all practices take place in
the deep end. Players must be strong swimmers. Games are usually
played locally. There may be one or
two tournaments each season that require travelling.
Parents must accompany their children
and are responsible for their lodging for any
away tournaments.
Bantam / U16
The Bantam group is for boys and girls born in 1997 or 1998.
The 16U group is for boys and girls born in 1995 or 1996. Younger
players will be admitted by exception only. All players must
have good swimming competency. There are usually three groups;
one for boys, one for girls, and a co-ed development group.
This may change depending on the numbers at registration.
Most competitions take place locally throughout the season
and there will likely be two or more away competitions. Most,
if not all players, compete in the Provincial Championships,
which traditionally take place in the Montreal area. Many will
represent the Club at the National Championships. Older or
stronger players are expected to play in 18U tournaments which
may include Provincial and National Championships. For Bantam
competitions that require an overnight stay, parents must accompany
their children and are responsible for their lodging.
U18 / U22
This program is aimed at young men and women born in 1991,
1992, 1994 or 1994 who have the skills and desire to represent
the Club at the National level. All players must have previous
water polo experience, be highly motivated and have a strong
desire to succeed.
A few experienced 16U players might be
admitted into this group and will pay the 18U rate. Most
18U players are expected to play in 22U tournaments and 22U
players to play
in Senior.
Senior
This program is for young men and women born in 1990 or before. These players
will practice with the 18U and 22U Groups, but on a less intensive basis.
They will be expected to participate in the Senior National Championships.
